So as I drove home today, I was listening to NPR. And then the music critic guy came on, and his review was of a CD called Crunk Hits Volume 2. Does anyone else think it's really odd that the music critic on NPR would recommend a CD with absolutely terrible music? And not just terrible, but also really gross and inappropriate?
Anyway, I thought it was hilarious, although I absolutely abhor 99% of rap music.
In other news, math tests are horrible and I always have to stay 15-20 minutes into lunch to just get enough done so I'm not guaranteed an F.
8th period was a total waste today. Speaking of 8th period, something really bugged me.
I was sitting in senior lounge hanging out with will and ankur, and one or two other people, and I was also sticking on the labels for my envelops to give to the transcript office for my transcript requests. So Marcos comes over, and he looks at the envelope on the top, that says Yale, and gives me this look, then gives Will this look, and then the few things that were said afterwards made it clear that he (and a few other people) think I'm probably applying to Yale because Will is going there (not to mention it's ridiculous that I'm even applying because there's no chance I'll get in).
Not like it's an awesome school or anything, right? It really pissed me off, not only because I really don't like most people knowing where I'm applying anyway because I want to avoid people's stupid assumptions and don't think most people need to know where I'm applying except where I end up going, but also because that means that whoever was talking like that obviously doesn't think very highly of me if they think I'd apply somewhere really just because my boyfriend is going there. (I realize that was a terrible run-on sentence)
I know that most people would see my above rant as an overreaction, but this is one of the major reasons I don't like to tell people where I'm applying (10 freaking schools now) and hate when people don't leave me alone when I don't want to answer.
Oh yeah, I also slept for 45 minutes on a couch in senior lounge. hahaha...
Also, I have a gross about of homework for tomorrow, all from McNelly, which I sometimes do regret taking. I have to write a first draft of a 5 page paper about Caged Bird, and then I have to finish a powerpoint with KJ about thunder and lightning, which may not seem so bad, but it's just really annoying because yeah, I like Mr. McFaden, but he seriously squeezes the fun out of everything we're supposed to be teacher. Like, teaching the class about thunder and lightning could be really fun if we didn't have to spend the whole time talking about the stupid thermoelectric effect. And on our Tucker County presentation- he totally killed our original plan and took out a lot of the fun and stuck in all this boring stuff about floods and stuff.
Sorry, I keep going into rants today. I am just not looking forward to this work. Which I should go and do now...after watching some of BC's parody of the OC. Ciao!
