Day one: On our journey across the vast and seemingly never ending unknown that makes up the Atlantic Ocean, we have found out the following: People who live in london like to refer to themselves as Britts. British airways intentionally serves enough to booze to ensure an enjoyable trip for themselves. After my second bottle of white wine, I was out like a light. I will highly recommend from this day forth that any one who has not flown to British airway to do so. You get your personal TV, get to choose movies (I saw "Death at a Funeral" and the new Wes Anderson movie ). The food was awesome but beware, cosher meals make for interesting farts. No one here says bless you but they are very polite and helpful.
We spent most of the day trying to find an affordable hostel. Six Hostels later, we completed our mission! Our quarters are humble, we have a bed, dresser, a table from which I could be typing from. The bathroom is shared between all the tenants in this floor. However, what makes this room the best in barcelona is the location. We have a balcony that over looks La Ramblas by Plaza Real. We're staying here for 6 nights. Las Ramblas:
It's made up of street preformers of every kind. Their are body painters that draw in the croud with their unique impression and statements. Their are artist who dislay colors and techniques that are nearly unimaginable. Break dancers draw the largest crowds in colon circle. The streets are decorated with christmas lights even though the holidays past. Las Ramblas is filled with Theaters, Clothing stores, Churches and Tapa resterants. I saw a dunkin donuts in a building built for a queen. So far this place is amazing. Tomorrow we're renting bikes to explore/hunt and visit Gaudi's Buildings.
