Summary: Miruki is about to begin her trial as other begin to fight to save their friends. There's something off about the trial though, one must wait more than seven years to begin their first trial, so why has Miruki's begun so early?

"Who's there?!"
"Nii."
Thump!
"SAN!" A group of people ran out of an alley fighting their way through. A monster suddenly appeared before them, the youngest of the group sprayed holy water at it. The monster yelled in pain but it ceased with a loud gun shot. The demon soon bursted into flames and was exorcised. A hair strand was cut from a girl of only 14 years. She began to kick a few mortals out of the way, but someone screamed.
"KYAAH!" It was a young girl that goes by the name, Ikuno Sachi. She tried to move whoever grabbed her shoulder and the one who came to her rescue is the wanted Hunter; Utsumi Miruki. Miruki punched whoever held Sachi and forced him to let go. Miruki helped her stand and ran along with everyone else. They quickly lost them and were nearing their destination. Meaning that things are about to get a little bit tougher.
"Daijoubu, Sachi-san?" Miruki asked taking a look at her arm. "You're not bleeding. That's good, cause if you were, you would've heard the Rumor speaking to you. But since that guy only touched you, you might start hearing some voices in your head, so you have to ignore whatever you hear in your mind, wakkata?" Sachi nodded her head. "Yosh, time to split up. Chinen, please go with Nagase-san."
"Eh?"
"You're the smallest of all of us, you need the protection when we're splitting up. Koki-san and Jun-san, take care of Sachi-san and Esuzu-san. Hotaru-san, Anna-san, you guys will come with me. I want the ones who are not coming with me to try to knock some sense into the people around here. Wakkata?"
"Hai!" They all agreed and quickly dispersed.
What was the Tokyo Embassy, is now an open dark palace in construction. The air seems ominous and there is literally fire coming out from a hidden place. But it was still like a construction site, except more dangerous. It really looked like a hell haven. But there are plenty of hiding places, which makes sneaking in easy, except for the fact that there are a lot of mortals controlled by the Rumor roaming outside and inside. Miruki and the other two older girls hid behind trees and stones as they see people pass by. "We need to know how it is on the inside." Anna suddenly grabs someone as they passed them by. She covered his mouth with a handkerchief. "Anna-san, what are you doing?!" Miruki nearly yelled, the man she caught was actually quite handsome, but that's beside the point. He tried to escape by moving around so much. Anna stepped on his foot and he nearly shrieked in pain.
"We need information. Hopefully he can provide us that information if we knock him back into his senses!" Even though they can hear the rumors voice, they are still concious, but don't know that what they're doing is actually wrong. They think it's right when they're going to try and kill the Hunter taking the trial. At least, that's what the information from Rai told them. Miruki looked at the man and punched him in the face. Anna held him while covering his mouth so his scream won't be heard. Hotaru was looking around making sure they are not seen. The man suddenly grabbed Miruki's hand and stopped her from hitting him.
"Would you stop that!? That's enough." He would've yelled louder but Anna still covered his mouth.
"I'll knock you senseless if that what it takes for you to get back to normal." Miruki said cooly. Hotaru held Miruki's fist softly to stop and her.
"Matte, Miruki. Please, will you tell me your name." Hotaru asked calmly and kindly. The man huffed a bit.
"Akanishi Jin."
"Tell me, do you hear a voice?"
"A voice..." I did hear a voice earlier but now... "It's gone..." He said his eyes a bit wide.
"I'm convinced." Hotaru said smiling.
Rai told them that even though they are to fight Miruki. But they can't trick her, they blindlessly attack, so there's no chance of trickery. That would be the job of a god and demon to do. "Yosh, Gomenasai. But it was the only way to get you back to normal." Miruki bowed and Anna let him bowing as well. "Tell me, were you inside the haven?" Miruki asked him concerned.
"Hai."
"We need the directions inside. We're going to stop the Rumor." Jin nodded and took out a run down map.
"Since you guys are sneaking in, you should take the sewer. That's the only place where there are no guards. When you to the opening shaft, you take the basement entrance. And then to get inside you have to take the ceiling entrance... Ah, for some reason... I can't seem to remember the rest..." Jin said slightly hold his head. Miruki sighed a bit annoyed. Rai was right, the Rumor does treat the trial like a game. Miruki gave Jin a rosary.
"Arigato, Jin-san. Wear the rosary, hopefully, it will prevent you from hearing the voices again. Go to the alley near the Sakurakoji Junior High/High school, there will be a circle with symbols in front of the door. Hide there until you notice something strange about the air. Make sure no one follows you." And with that the girls opened the shaft to the sewer. "Well, here we go again." And they jumped in the disgusting sewage.
"I don't think we can do this!" Jun exclaimed holding his face. "I mean we're dealing with supernatural beings! We won't survive!" Koki grabbed Jun's collar and started shaking him.
"Baka de! Stay calm and be a man! We have to bring everyone back to their senses! So stay calm, Chikusho!" Suddenly, they were attacked, both of them were kicked in the stomach and the girls screamed.
"Koki-san! Jun-san!" They turned around to see two men with short hair and, for some reason, wearing matrix like clothing.
"Kokiiii-kuun!" One of them started to wave at them, like a happy go lucky boy. "Why are you protecting the Hunter? She's a murderer! All Hunters are murderers!!" He yelled a bit pissed off, so much for happy go lucky.
"Chikusho, teme yo... Nakamaru... Itai ne..." Koki said getting up. He glared at his friend, Nakamaru Yuichi smirked. "And Shige... You're gonna try to kick our ass...?" Are you going to be able to hurt the ones you care about? Koki remembered the words Rai told them. They have to harm anyone controlled by the Rumor, knock them senseless until they're back to normal. "All right, bring it!"
Chinen was walking behind Nagase with a gun at hand. His hand trembled a bit, he's only 14; he's never held a gun before. Nagase suddenly hit someone at the back of the head with the machine gun he was holding. Chinen looked at who Nagase hit and was slightly relieved it wasn't someone he knows. Chinen went to face what was in front of he was suddenly punched in the face. Chinen quickly stood up to see his friend, Hasshi. "H-Hasshi..." Hasshi glared at him.
"Why are you protecting the Hunter?! She's murderer! Baka!" Chinen cringed, he can't listen to him. He knows the truth and the reason why everyone is acting like this. Next to Hasshi is an older man, and Nagase seems to know him.
"T-Taichi!" Taichi glared at his friend.
"I don't understand why you would protect that murderer, Naga. But, we're going to make sure you understand!" Chinen's now trembling.
"H-Hasshi! Snap out of it! Why would you want to hurt her! She's just been protecting us! The enemy here is the Rumor! He's forcing you to think this way! You hear a voice inside, don't you?!"
"Enough Chinen." Chinen looked up at Nagase.
"Demo!"
"Remember what Rai told us? The only way to bring them back is to knock them senseless." Nagase prepared his body. "KOI!"
"Gomen ne, but for now, we have to trust Jin-san..." Miruki said as they went through the digusting tunnel.
"Goddamn, what is with traveling in sewers! So much like Rush Hour!" Anna complained, holding her nose. They began heard footsteps as they walked, it stopped and soon appeared two mortals. A boy and a girl.
"Akira!? Akito!?" Hotaru exclaimed. Miruki twitched a bit.
"Jin said that no one was down here..." Miruki growled. "Lying bastard, Rai said that they can't trick us!"
"Heh, Rumor had just decided to send us both down here." Miruki took a step forward.
"Fine, you ready to take me on!?" Anna grabbed Miruki's shoulder, holding her back. "Oi!"
"We got this."
"Matte yo! Hotaru obviously...!"
"You need the energy to fight Rumor. And it's not against the rules for unaffected to help. Daijoubu." Anna gave her a wink and Miruki nodded. She ran towards them as if she was going to hit them, but she simply jumped over them. They were about to chase her, when both were kicked seperate ways. Hotaru stood above Akira and glared darkly down on her.
"Fine Akira, we're going to bring you back to your senses... SO YOU BETTER BE READY FOR IT!!!"
