A/N: This is the last Chapter of season 1. THERE ARE THREE SEASONS LEFT! Okay, for the people who I told this would only have three seasons; I had another dream, so now there's going to be four seasons of The Hunter; so don't worry, there is still more to come! Dozo! PS:  would also like to thank jixie_the_pixie for this beautiful banner! Thanks onee-chan!

"Gozonji no yooni, Miruki. We can't help you. This is your trial, you have to fight the Rumor by yourself. But it doesn't mean we can't "advice" you." Said the blond haired man, now known as Iga Rai, age 45. "The only way to pass your trial is to kill the Rumor. But you can't let the Rumor escape. At any cost." Rai said in a deadly warning tone.

"Naze?" Miruki asked seriously. Rai lit up a cigarette and inhaled, then exhaled smoke. He looked straight at her.

"You will die. And in a way you'd wish you wouldn't have to." He says solemnly. Miruki's eyes widened, her breath shortened a bit. "And so, it's best to hunt him down instead of beating everyone senseless."

"Doushite?" Miruki began, "Why now? I'm not ready... I've only been training for seven years!" Miruki exclaimed. Rai sighed solemnly taking another puff of smoke.

"It must mean, you're a strong girl." Miruki looked up at the older man.

"But did Sensei have to die?! He had so much life left! He was so strong!" Miruki yelled, refusing to let her swollen eyes to tear up.

"That's the Hunter's life. You should know that code by now. We fight to save mortals, we have no emotions, we have no relationships, we fight a neverending war. We live we die, and it will never be of old age." Rai said calmly. "Even I will die soon. And it would be the cause of a supernatural being. But, I won't allow myself to be killed by a Controller." Rai said with a solemn smile. "And it's our choice to live the life of a Hunter." He stared at the mortals. "And remember this," he said pointing to himself. "Hunter's like Miruki and me, we protect innocent mortals like yourselves. We don't kill Innocents. But we kill impure mortals. Controllers." He said calmly, yet coldly. "If we ever kill an innocent, then we kill our right to be a Hunter and are to drop our guns and never protect Innocents again." He called the bartender to come over to them. "Get me another glass of the same, Tsubasa." The bartender gave him what he needed. Rai took a sip and took out a map. "By now, the Rumor should have his hideout here." He pointed to the Tokyo Embassy.

The Tokyo Embassy is an unfinished building, the metal bars still need to be intact and it's dangerous for anyone to be around it. The floors have been filled but only on a half side. The roof has been placed upon and the glass is at the top. "By now, it should look like a hell haven. The Rumor would find the largest building and goes to the top. He thinks of your trial as a game, you have to get to the top in a certain amount of time, but you will never know. He decides when the time is up and destroys the spell while also escaping. That's a sign when you've failed your test to become a Hunter. After the failed test, you have to have a test to see if you can become a real mortal, and it will be discovered how human you were and maybe you can either become a demon, or a guardian spirit." Miruki looked at him confused.

"How do you know that?" Rai smirked.

"I had to take the trial test myself. But I didn't fail. But I could hear it. I heard what would have happened."

"But she can't go by herself!" The girl, now known as Ikuno Sachi, exclaimed.

"I have no choice but to go." Miruki said calmly polishing a gun, and looking for the right weapons to use. "First of all, I'll die if I don't do this and put all the other Hunter's in danger. Second, it's my trial and I have to do it alone. Third, no one can interfere, or it's an immediate failure." Rai stepped in with a sly smirk on his face.

"Actually, Hunter's can't help. I never said anything about Innocent mortals." A few of them backed up a bit as if Rai was a demon himself.

"Ara?"

"You mortals have no problem beating each other senseless." Rai said handing them guns and weapons that can match their size.

"Ah! Rai-sensei!" Miruki called to him.

"Hm?"

"The police, the FBI, CIA, how come they haven't noticed the calamity?!" Miruki exclaimed. Rai sighed.

"The Rumor surrounds the stations with demons so that they can't escape or call for back up. A coward move. But when the trial is over, the police will come and help the injured... Anyways, this is how you have to fight." Rai began, making sure he's directing it to the mortals. "Holy water and salt won't work on the mortals, but they will work on demons. If you see a demon, leave it to Miruki; but I doubt you'll see any demons. The mortals who are being controlled are going to be stronger than what they usually are; even worse if they were high, so you have punch and fight with all your might. But the question is..." He said turning to face them, "Are you able to hurt the ones you love?" It was quiet.

It's not difficult for Hunter's to hurt others because they never let anyone get so close to them. It's how they live their lives. But mortals, there's the problem. They let anyone get close to them. When you're a Hunter you travel the world. You drink, you get information for the next Collector or demon to kill, you get laid, you get nothing in return for saving a life, and you sleep in a run down hotel. Who the hell would you be able get close to? If you even thought about getting close to anyone, they always end up dead or hating you for the rest of their life.

"You guys have to be willing to hit anyone, a stranger, friend, a lover, even your parents because they're not holding back. You guy better be ready for this because these bastards aren't who they usually are." Rai said throwing a gun at Nagase.

"Daijoubu, Rai-sensei." Miruki opened the door to leave the Hunter's safe house. "I'm used to this kind of crap already." She turned back to the mortals and stared at them with daring eyes. "I'm ready, you guys?" Each other them looked at each other. Miruki almost left, thinking that they rather stay in a safe place, but then.

"Iko!"
