Busy day so far...
Finally found the one item I have been looking for over the last two days that has to be dealt with before I can leave town! It only took me until 2:50am! Pain meds down the hatch with two slices of dry toast and off to bed I went. I was starting to feel nauseated just before bedtime and figured it was just because I was exhausted. Nope. Along about 3:30am, I was hanging my head over the garbage can. When it was finished, so was I...I don't even remember crawling back in bed. 6am wake up call came in for an 8am pre-op teaching class at KDMC. For those of you who don't know, I was approved for the lap band surgery. Yay! My neurosurgeon thinks it will be the saving grace for my back as it is difficult for me to exercise with the extra weight. I got sick again when getting in the car and had to jet out to the back yard. *Yuk* Following this 3 hour informative class, I headed to St. Mary's to pick up scripts from the neurosurgeon to cover me while I'm in Cincinnati...reading the pain med leaflet has been enlightening...I took it a little too soon because I was going to bed...I guess it's true that sometimes too much of a good thing is really a bad thing...LOL. Had lunch with no problems other than the bad headache I've carried since I woke up. Off to Walmart for a few last minute items and now home at last. Started the steroids as soon as I got in to reduce the nerve inflammation that will make for a better 6 days ahead. Those of you going to Cincy would thank my neurosurgeon if you could. Yay!
I'm down to the Karaoke CDs I had problems with yesterday. I'm giving them one last shot before I finish this project. The only thing left to do is write song titles on the CDs that are stacked neatly beside me with their store bought counterparts. Think I'll take a little nap and attack these when I wake up. Only packing left to do now and a few other various odds and ends.
It's thundering here but otherwise has been a perfect day. I ordered this weather for Wednesday & Thursday btw...without the rain sharkbait...LOL!
Happy to hear that sb_pyrat made it here safely and final Buffett Adventure preparations are going on in our various homes. I'm both excited and nervous to meet you all!
