Can you feel this underlying sense of urgency...

Sep 30, 2005 16:40

A few more nights out under my belt as ever, the City's beginning to warm up again now the students are back. Even the apathy amoungst the non-students is made less by the increase in numbers. Tuesday however, there was nothing going on, so I caught up on sleep. Wednesday was Switch @ Walkabout with jonthebloody and manniqueen_ where we found it fairly busy, and selling double Maker's Mark and Coke for a mere £2.70. A couple of those and I departed at half twelve to avoid spending too much or getting too drunk. More people should go to this night, although I fear it will loose out to the Cookie. It's hard to go out to one night when the majority of people are going to another. Peer pressure or desire for social interaction? You decide...

Thursday I wangled the afternoon off and went to town, shopping briefly for stuff for this coming weekend. Went to the gym for the first time in too long as well. Spent the evening relaxing and listening to Third Eye Blind, before heading out to City on the behest of notgothdammit to attempt to capture the midgets that were there for the 'Charlie & The Chocolate Factory' promo night. Saw people out who wouldn't usually be there; 00spookydoll00, nummie_devi, fyta and paintedghost, for example. Caz was out as well, which was nice as I haven't seen her in too long.

This weekend is likely to be very busy, and I will be surviving on very little sleep. Birmingham and Sheffield here I come! If the denizens of these fair cities see me wandering around like an extra from Land of the Dead, please stuff a Red Bull into my hands. I shall leave you with the following:
