Fur Free Friday

Nov 07, 2006 23:22

Every year on the day after Thanksgiving for the last two decades, thousands of people around the U.S. have held demonstrations, marches, vigils and other activities for Fur Free Friday to protest a global multi-billion dollar industry that kills over 40 million animals a year. This year will be no different. Please join us for the MOST IMPORTANT DAY
of the fur-free calendar! Fur Free Friday is Chicago's largest animal rights event of the year. Your presence is needed to send a powerful message to the Fur Industry and the public that cruelty to animals has no place in our society.

City: Chicago, Illinois
Date: Friday November 24th
Time: Meet at 12 noon (march starts at 12:30 p.m.)
Location: Daley Plaza - South-East corner
Contact: adlchicago@yahoo.com

Chicago's Fur Free Friday march is one of over twenty that are being organized by local groups across the country in conjunction with The Fund for Animals. Please come out to Fur Free Friday to hold a sign or pass out literature that describes the inhumane treatment of
animals for the fur trade. If you have any questions, please contact ADL Chicago at: adlchicago@yahoo.com

The more people we have, the more powerful our message. If you can only make it out one day during the fur-free season, this is it.
