Only that it's the saddest movie ever made. I never cry at movies and not only did I cry the last hour and a half of the movie, but I couldn't stop cryin for about 2 hours afterward. I"m getting teary-eyed right now. Dear lord. Please don't see it. I do think it's like on the best movies ever made, tho. Oh, Peter Jackson. I would have yer babies.

I always expect any "natives" to either be treated in a racist way, or be percieved in one. Not to make excuses, but Peter Jackson is from New Zealand, so aborginals to him would most likely be dark as depicted. There was totally a throw back to Dead Alive, btw. There was also a very racist stereotype of a chinese cook, however, that was in the original King Kong. J said Peter Jackson kept the whole movie the way it was and basically extended it. There were positive people of color roles, but the were short (I don't know if they were people of color in the original), and also, this was set in the thirties, so it allowed (supposedly, at least when they were in NY) less for people of color. They natives did irk me a bit, but not much as they usually do and have. Such as in Lord of The Rings. I don't like watching the one scene with the rouge men. Because they're all darkish-middle eastern-asian mix looking people, who are nowhere else in the movie. Ever. It's all good white people, like one bad white person/wizard and their army of dark ( ... )

There were no people of color in the original except for the super racist chinese cook that was on the ship (however, for the 30s that character wasn't even really that bad compared to alot of other movies to be honest). There were a few people of color in this version that weren't just background when there really weren't any in the original ( ... )

It is the saddest movie ever made though (except the first half which is so gross and metal and awesome). It will ruin your day. But it is super good. Not a movie I think I could see over and over again though. I might just kill myself.
