Love really does make the world go round...if you like your inner ear being all out of whack 24/7.
We try so hard to be good, but doesn't it seem sometimes like we're destined to be bad...? When we're growing up, we're constantly being told NOT to do something...doesn't it make you wonder if we all start off bad and have to learn to be good..? What does that say about us?
When you know someone, and they aren't such a good person, think about that before you decide to persecute and judge them. You could have turned out that way too, if your life had been a little different.
That's why I could never disown any of my friends, even when the rest of the world seemed to hate them. In order to become a better person, you have to stop thinking on how people are treating you, and work on how you're treating people, because all those things they say to you, hurtful or cruel, don't really matter. What matters is how you react to it. React with love.
Love and acceptance and an appreciation for those around you...it's the only thing that really moves people the way they should be moved. What can you gain for hating someone, just because they have a negative opinion of you...? You'll be hating them, and you'll be filled with all these negative emotions, and they'll still think the same thing. But you accept them, accept their opinion, and love them, and they still might think the same things about you, but you can't stop anyone from thinking their own thoughts. The only thing you can do is choose for yourself how you want to live knowing those thoughts.
It's so easy to see the destruction that hate causes within a single person...and I feel the worst sadness for those people, knowing that all their animosity is what makes them so miserable, and knowing that they'll never be able to fix that until they see it themselves.
You can only truly make yourself happy...By making the decisions that will make you happiest. People call it selfish...but how are we expected to please or help anyone else if we don't first feel our own personal and spiritual fulfillment?
Choose happiness, my friend. Even if it's not the route that will make everyone happy, you aren't responsible for how people react. They are the ones who control that.

On a totally unrelated subject, my first day went pretty well...I only got hot fryer-grease on my face once, and managed to get all the orders right....I made sammiches. ^_^ AND I managed to get my eyebrow ring back in without much fuss after about four hours without it in. On top of that, since it was my first day, I got a free meal, so I ordered the most expensive thing on their menu.
Needless to say, the free food made the whole day a lot better.
