The weekend was surprisingly grand, but I've not yet decided whether I'll make a public post about it all. I suspect it'd all be couched in too much vague language to make any sense.
Well, when all is said and done, I am leaving of my own accord. I did what I set out to do: ensured we remained salient by choosing to transfer to Atlanta. When living in two places at once (more or less) ceased to be to our benefit, I resigned my position. I'm not bitter about it. I understand the corporate world, and even though they could have worked with me in order to keep me, I know that this is a thing they will not do. I bear none of them any malice, and I am working to ensure that my two replacements know all the ropes there are to know.
And I really don't think anybody noticed the Docs, and if somebody did do, s/he's forgot by now.

When one knows one does not have much time left a job all kinds of interesting behaviors come out. From everybody.
I like it think it is when true qualities shine through.
Leaving on a positive note can be tough.
