New York...by the time I was born New York was separating itself from America, just before I got pulled they were sealing the deal by encasing the city in a massive web of energy. No one in, no one out.

I was still a lab tech at the time, but there was a tradition of groups of major city PDs getting together for charity runs and other things. NYPD came to Vegas a lot to unwind, and our Homicide chief was from Jersey before he wound up there.

The CSI lab is almost always active, kinda noisy, busy. That was the first and only day I could ever remember it being almost... silent. It was eerie. I don't think anyone even worked that day. We just stood around the TV and watched.
