[Today if you're at the beaches of Olivine, you'll find Keiichi slumped over at the ocean as if he just vomited as a Slowpoke is sitting next to him. The Slowpoke looks over to his trainer, then out into the sunset with the usual derp look on its face. There's a five minute pause between the both of them. And then, begins the deepest conversation

What if you had another one carry it? It could be a shield that could take as many hits as necessary and it'd be fine with it.

I was thinking more along the lines that it might have to act that way because of it.
