THIS MADE ME LOL SO HARD. But seriously, this is true and I shall never understand it. Maybe it's because Elijah is so highly a man of his word that he absolutely doesn't expect something like this to happen, which is basically back-stabbing. However, he himself went back on his word at the crucial moment (although the importance that this show puts of family suggests that every single character would understand why)!
TVD is the only show where I have had OTPs, mostly I ship a bit of this and a bit of that.
Haha, I'm the exact opposite, I usually ship fiercely and stick to my ship, regardless of what happens to it. TVD is actually the only show where I seem to ship everyone/everyone because they're all ~stunning characters in their own right and have amazing dynamics. AND YES, MOAR LEXI PLZ.
My favourite outcome would a girl/woman from the past or present falling head over heels in love with Kat
Ooh, that is so interesting :O I'm pretty sure the show won't 'go there' but it would've been awesome to see! Till then I'd love some Elena/Katherine dynamic development (Nina Dobrev even has chemistry with herself, what even?)

Well, with me, TVD is the only show where they have created romantic dynamics that I love enough to pledge my eternal loyalty. Although, I have to say, while I ship D/K like crazy, I also ship Kat/the wallpaper.
