Oh wow, this was awesome! (and hey, good Boone fic is always welcome with yours truly. ;) I really liked the style here, it was sparse but it really worked. And I liked how you worked with glimpses and still managed to get the story through. Also their dialogue is totally spot on and I really like how you write him. It's a pretty awesome voice. :) And I loved the starting/ending lines, they really worked for this. I loved it!

Haha, this is so short because I'm all like 'NEW FANDOM, YOU'RE SCARY' D: I'm a Vampire Diaries fan so as much as I pretended to watch LOST because it'a a huge part of pop-culture, I'm pretty sure the real (shallower) reason was Ian. But now I'm genuinely interested! And the Boone/Shannon dynamic is too interesting to not explore, although I'm dreading him dying end first season. Thanks so much! :)

Oh I totally get it - OMG SCARY is pretty much my default with new fandoms. And I started watching VD because Boone used to be my favorite and I'd been waiting for Ian to get a serious show since I got hooked on Lost. Which was like after S3, but whatever. You're in for a ride though. ;) (and oh dear haha I went into it being like 'DON'T GET ATTACHED YOU KNOW HE DIES' and clearly I did. Good luck with that bit.) And Boone/Shannon is awesome. :)

I KNOW, IT SUCKS. It's like I'm all "OMG I LOVE BOONE" and all the while I'm remembering Ian saying that his character survived a three thousand feet plane crash and then died falling thirty feet off a beach craft, and then I dread watching further episodes. I just hope there's another Boone/Shannon back!story episode left for me! [And I always ship the doomed ship in every fandom, this was a given :s]

I shipped them so hard when I first watched Lost. (I probably still do if I rewatch - which you not have me wanting to do.) There were so many awesome lines (or, more, groups of lines) that were awesome. Great job! :D

I was expressly forbidden from looking at any and all spoilers for the show LOST. It was part of the agreement for letting me borrow the DVDs. So you can imagine my surprise, after gushing about Boone(/Shannon) and then, DUN DUN DUN. I was NOT pleased. (Though, very pleased with Ian being Damon <3) In my head, they totally get there. Somehow, eventually. (That's what fandoms for, right? :D)

I think that's very good advice! I've somehow been coming across spoilers all over the place, which sucks. I suppose they've always been around and I never really noticed them since I wasn't into the show. And I love that Boone got incarnated as Damon, Ian just gets better all the time!

omg, this story is just...sad. And I totally still ship Lost, I'm in the middle of a series re-watch (I'm in season 3 right now) and I could just talk about this show forever. I never realized how much I miss that freakin' show until I actually go back and watch it.

And Ian in Lost was total awesomeness. I am just pissed that he didn't make it past season 1. And I hate the way he died, it makes me cry every time.

Ooh, I so didn't know you were into LOST, but it's darn interesting right now (even if I am just mid first season!) And I'm just already feeling sad about Boone, although I don't know how he dies or anything, it just makes me feel like S1 should stretch forever!

My cousin got me into LOST a few years ago. She also had a thing for Boone (she's definitely an Ian fangirl) and so I watched it with her and I instantly got hooked. I wish that he wouldn't have died, I loved him as Boone, but I also friggen love him as Damon.

Haha, I get that- I did spend half the time she was on screen thinking- "wow, she's a bitch", but I love Boone's reaction to her, and how well Ian portrays it, like the whole helplessness and how much he wants her, it's awesome. I haven't see that! That's another Ian!show, right?

When you have time, you should go to YouTube and search for Ian and Young Americans because there are several uploads of that show. It was a spin-off of Dawson's Creek and was only on for 8 episodes in like 1999 or 2000, long time ago. He's so cute and little--it's before he got his ears altered, so he's just adorable.

His main storyline is that he goes to a all-boys prep school in New England somewhere, and a new guy comes to school--but it's not a guy, it's a girl pretending to be a guy as a way to rebel against her absentee mother. They start to fall in love, and it's hysterical because Ian's character Hamilton is FREAKING out because he thinks he's gay. It's adorable, really, not tortured in the sense that he's tortured on LOST or TVD, but he is tortured to his 15 year old mind. Seriously, though, it's so worth watching (I've gone back a few times).

Oh god, that scene was so hot, and Ian's expression at "what?" *flails along with you*. I somehow just really like the bitchy, mean-girl types, I think they're fun to explore, which is why I seriously want to write Shannon-centric fics!

THAT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. It seriously does, very Shakespearan cross-dressing rip-off and 'she's the man' et al, but young!Ian doubting his sexual orientation has to be fantastic to watch, I'll definitely check it out sometime. Ian also played a gay character in a movie as far as I remember from general stalkerishness, that's pretty awesome (although heartbreaking for me as a girl) as well :D
