It was an ordinary day in South Park. They had gym inside because of the snow, Kenny had been killed by a falling climbing frame, and now they were all heading into the showers. Kyle and Stan hung back to avoid seeing Cartman's naked body so soon after lunch and got so engrossed in their conversation that they lost track of time and when they finally took to the showers their peers were finishing getting dressed and starting to head to the next class. They quickly stripped off and hopped under the showers, which were by now so hot they were emitting slight steam.
As Kyle ran his hands over his own body, slippery smooth under the water, he caught sight of Stan's. He had seen it before, in fact, he had seen it many times over the years, but only now he realised how amazing it was. His black hair, slick with the weight of the water, contrasted with his flesh so much it seemed to make his white skin glow. His arms were curved by perfectly sized muscles. His chest was broad and for some reason, Kyle had an undeniable urge to curl up to it, to lay his head down on Stan. He didn't allow his gaze to lower. He turned the knob on his shower as far to the blue side as it would go. Stan yelped, his arm catching some of the freezing water. He stared at Kyle incredulously.
“You turning masochistic, dude?”
“I'm too hot after all that exercise. Boiling myself didn't seem like the smart solution.”
“You'll totally regret it when we go outside and you freeze to death,” Stan told him, wagging a finger warningly.
“Maybe I'll get to say hi to Kenny,” Kyle replied, cracking a smile. Everything was fine. He could ignore those thoughts. They wouldn't last. Their friendship would.
“Oh, no. I'm not letting you go that far. I'd bring you back.”
“Gonna give me the kiss of life, huh?”
“Dude, if it was your life on the line, I'd give you the blowjob of life if you needed it.” Kyle forced a laugh and left the shower. He missed Stan's longing glance as he stepped out into the changing area.
