I hate it when people say they're Christians & that church just isn't "their thing." It really pisses me off. It's so fake. And it's ignorant. If church isn't your thing, then you don't know God. You don't love Him. And you don't fear Him. And you obviously don't have a relationship with Him. Because that's what Christianity is about. Not freaking ( Read more... )

Yeah. Ok, the Bible states you do not have to go to church.

And every priest/pastor and 90% of super bible thumper jesus freak christian ADULT I've talked to about it has said that I don't have to go to Church and it doesn't make me a sinner or a bad christian.

And you were the one who argued the point that I AM a Christian when I told you I was agnostic.

And just so you know, some people have problems with being in large groups of people. Ever see the movie "Finding Forester"? It's a natural phobia some people have, they can't help it. But does that make them non-christians because they prefer to worship God from their own home?

And for the FIRST time I don't care that you're mad at me cuz this is just plain STUPID. Don't expect me to text you or try and make things up. I'm standing by this one.

You stand up for your belifes. I'm going to stand up for MINE!

You know kneedeep, I like you the more I hear about you...

He's right, if going to church does not help your walk and/or takes away from it (trust me it can happen) then no you should not go. Taryn you need to realize that maybe Church is incredible for you, but that is a gift from God that not everybody has, it can actually be hard for me sometimes to get something out of church.

but kneedeep, I don't really know you, but as long as you're pursuing (sp) God, or any sort of knowledge of life more then natural, then it's fine that you don't go to church. It's when you give up on the whole idea altogether that it's a problem.

Also, the correct ryhme is "Charo". Old Mamba dancer.

Well the Bible tells us that we are meant to glorify Him alone in everything we do, in ALL our actions ( ... )

I happen to like small churches.

It may be the fact that all the churches in my area are very large churches. The only small one I know if is a bunch of Southern Baptists and I don't get along with them because they frown apon reading things like Harry Potter and The Davinci Code (along with any other Dan Brown book), and horror books like Bram Stokers Dracula or watching horror movies, which I love.

That's not a stereotype either. I have friends that actually go to that particular church.

But like I said, I really don't like large groups of people. Only when it comes to concerts.

But then again maybe that's how some people are with church.

The point I'm trying to make is, I hate big churches. If I go to church I want everyone to know everyone else. Small Churches = Garrett Style Church

I am reading The Da Vinchi Code right now actually.

Its fascinating really.
I plan to read his others but usually when an author has a best-selling book the others he has written aren't as good, but we shall see.

Ok, so i messed up. To be honest, i agree with all of you. I tend to not think as much when I'm mad. [If that wasn't so obvious already] I KNOW church doesn't have to be amazing for everyone and i totally agree that you don't have to go to be a Christian. I don't quite understand how you get by without it, but i agree. I don't think it's wrong to worship God from your own home, but aren't you the one who said you didn't believe it was right to worship anything? Even if it was God? That's where i get lost Garrett. Cuz you say one thing and i never know it changes until i somehow bring it up and you get frustrated with me. Man, i hate being confused.

And no, i've never seen "Finding Forester" but now i just might have to watch it.

I never said I am worshipping from my home. I just said that someone can. I never said "I".

Christianity is your thing.

Not mine.
