So here I am back at the Q after a nice long 9 day vacation. 10 more days until the semester is over and about 2 weeks until I'm home again.. and then I'll be home for over a month :) As much as I like it here, there's def no place like home and I can totally use a break from doing all this work.
It's kind of scary.. I'm half way through my freshman year pretty much and soon we'll be picking out our housing for next year. ahhh.. and whats even weirder is my little sis is going to be 17 soon! I don't know why, but it just feels weird to think of her being 17 and the fact that in half a year i'll be 19. Thats scary.
So being home was grreat. No work. LOTS of sleep. I don't think I got up any time before 12:30. Went to the movies and saw Polar Express. Def needed a trip to the movies. Saw all my close friends.. even Val and Heidi who I haven't seen in foreverrr so that was definitely awesome :) Everyone has such different things going on in their lives now, but thats pretty much expected and it was exciting to hear about it all. I <3 my friends. I didn't see Tina long enough though but I'll def make it a point to chill w/ her a few times during the winter break.
I also went to the school for the alumni breakfast/forum. It was pretty cool. I hung out in the musical theater class and went to Court's lunch period. I almost started to miss high school. It felt so normal being there and the way everyone acted around each other was like nothing has ever changed.
Oh yeah.. and I saw Dracula on Broadway. That makes 30 shows I've seen now. It was really good. The music was a little weak.. but I really liked the show. It's kind of surprising b/c it got mostly bad reviews, but I was def impressed by most of it. Mrs. Farbman was there.. and she's now the 6th person I've seen in NYC since I've been at school.
What else did I do? Right, I saw Lit at the Crazy Donkey with Court. That was good. I actually knew three songs by them, but two of them I didn't know that they did until that day. The music was def good and I'm glad I went b/c I haven't been to a show in so long...and it's been even longer since I went to and enjoyed a show w/ bands that I hardly know.
Thanksgiving. (I'm def skipping around here with the order of my events) That was cool. Spent time w/ the fam. Got into a political convo w/ my uncle that was actually pretty interesting and didn't wind up w/ him telling me I was too young to understand. My uncle and aunt want to buy me shot glasses b/c they said I need to learn to drink so I can socialize better... ooookay. They also said I can bring a bottle of wine back for my roomates. I really couldn't picture a bunch of college kids sitting around drinking wine for fun.. but whateverrr.
Yeah so I did some other stuff too.. it was all fun.. went a few more places and saw lots of people. I even saw a girl from QU at the Broadway Mall. Weeeeird.
don't really know what else to say... so i'll be going now. buh bye.
