So it might not be quite so bad as Alexander's but it was still pretty farcical:
First, I realize I forgot to mail my friend's birthday present. Since I have to be at school before the post office opens, I walk back home during my lunch. It's a nice day, if cold, so I'm enjoying my walk until I get to my front door and attempt to unlock it with: my office keys. Not surprisingly, this doesn't work, and I have to walk all the way back to get my other set of keys.
Then, after discussing my programing problems with the professor, I attempt to apply many bright and shiny new ideas to fix my program. All of them make the results worse.
Next, lab. I start right off with a faux pas, telling my students to turn in their write up from last week. Horrified looks greet me. The thing is, they took a quiz last week and don't have a write up to turn in.
That sorted out, we start lab. The students are merrily doing the experiment and I am walking around making sure everyone's on track. One group raises their hands because they can't get a trace for the last part of the experiment. I fiddle with their oscilloscope unproductively. Then another set of hand go up, and another. I can't get anyone's scope to work. Finally, I ask the class "Is this working for anyone?" Then answer is a resounding "No!" So I tell them to move on to the questions while I try to figure out what's going on. After an unsuccessful five minutes, I run downstairs to see if any of the other TA's are still around, and get the report that the last part of the lab just doesn't seem to be working at all. I return with a fellow TA who also attempts to tame the scopes, but to no avail. Defeated, I tell the class to skip that entire part of the lab (to cheers). Also, our class data for the second part of lab was crummy, and I had to graph it five times before I got it the right way round. I am now officially the worst TA ever.
Lab over, I go to the shuttle stop to wait for the shuttle to take me home. I see the shuttle and cheer up. The shuttle then takes an unexpected turn into the parking lot next to the stop, turns around and pulls out, driving the other way. Am feeling very sad now, since even the shuttles dislike me.
Fortunately, another shuttle comes and does not drive off in the other direction without me, so now I am finally home, and can go to bed and put this whole ridiculous day behind me.
