Huh... Now that is most curious. Seems like I've been gaining a level of notoriety over at the Guild Wars fan art forum that I've been vandalising on and off over the last couple of years. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed I got a PM from this one guy about my stuff. Apparently he liked what I did so much that he was practically begging me to repost most of the old pics that'd I'd done but has since disappeared along with my old server.
So I quite happily obliged the request. I was actually kind of flattered that there was someone who wanted to see more of my stuffs. There's this nice feeling that all your efforts have been worth in one way or another. Though, I like to joke that you really know you've made it when people start swiping your art and try claiming it as their own. But that's another story for another time.
So anyway, now I have some nut bar on there trying to get me to draw girls in their underwear and making out. Lawl, internets. I dunno, I'd like to think I'm a little past that now. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of hotness as much as the next person, but in terms of drawing harlots, well... I'd like to think that I've been there, I had my fun, and have since moved on a bit.
But it makes me wonder - had I been asked to do something along those lines a year or two ago, would I have actually done it? Even though I did do a fair few things that allured to that kind of motif, I don't think I ever really crossed that line between suggestive implications and all out sluttiness. Or, at least, would like think I didn't. That's not to say that it wasn't fun to flirt with the idea, heh.
Now this guy is trying to convince me that I'm still sleazy enough to indulge his fantasies. lol wut? Though I guess I have no one to blame but myself. You reap what you sow. :|
On a completely different note though, my mate at work gave me his copy of Half-Life 2 on Steam which I played a little bit the other day. Which also means that I'm now also on Steam, so if you want my SteamID, you'll have to take an educated guess as to what it is. Because, like, you know, it's a very cryptic username and stuff. >:3
Pretty nice atmosphere in the game, I have to admit. Though, truth be told, I'm a little sick of having to be a one-man army in games with contrite excuses to separate me from my buddies at every turn with some lame reason about mechanical failure or because some guy's in my base killing my d00ds.
Having said that, the game is very well scripted though, and there are times where it really makes you feel like you're in the thick of it all. Plus the use of vehicles is pretty sweet. Sure it's no GTA, but it does add to the game play variety. And just what is it with those two-mouth fuckers that hang from the roof and drag things up to devour with their rope-tongue-thing? How is it that all of them, no matter how out of reach or obscure their perch is, they always seem to have some kind of human remains in them? >:B I mean, it's not like they're mobile, so that means some douche has had to crawl through some stinking sewer or shaft just to get their head bitten off by one of these things. Seriously, what the fuck, man? God-fucking-damn-it I hate those things. >_<
...Okay, so I have issues. >_> But anyway, I'll have to play through the rest of that game when I've a bit more time. I hear the story line is pretty epic, so at least it won't be disappointing. It probably doesn't help that I haven't played the first game so I probably won't understand half of what's going on, but meh. \:3/
