We kind of have this love-hate relationship with Codemasters, just off the record. They're reasonable and all, but some of their demands or "recommendations" just make you go >_>. I don't want to say much more or it'll probably get me into trouble.

Haha, nah, I don't think I've said anything incriminating. :P I think the main thing was that since they're based in England, they don't have as clear an idea on how much effort it takes to do things as someone who spends every day at the office. A small change in their minds could mean a large re-write on our part.

I've heard stories of other games companies who've had to deal with far worse publishers than what we had, and I'm talking much, much, MUCH worse. Like oh-em-gee-how-can-you-even-think-of-doing-that kind of worse. So I guess in a way we had it pretty good.

And yes, as a matter of fact, there is a chick pilot in our game. Unfortunately you won't get to see her much, and she doesn't feature in any sort of central capacity. Like my producer on the project puts it, this game is more about "plane porn". You'll understand when you play it. :3

Hey, I happen to be a designer as a matter or fact. >:3 And given that I'm on the design team and not the art team, I don't have any pictures to show. D:

Hahaha, there's truth in that proverb. :P It's only bad when people go out of their way to make others miserable so that they themselves can feel better. Like Mr. Burns. :P

As a designer, I do a lot of scripting to make the levels work. So in a way there's programming involved, but it's not down at a system level.
It's like if you were to make a Warcraft map, you'd have to place units around the place and tell them how to react to the player, as well as set off events at certain times. That's kinda what I do. :]

Precisely. :D Actually, I'm glad I'm not that deep into the programming side. I reckon I'd find it boring a tedious by comparison. :3

wtf roflz u hax0r teh codez

Did you know that finding bugs is actually quite tedious to do? :3 You should try getting a job in QA at a games company. Then you'll see for yourself. X3
