“Oh, The Best Prank of All; update please. Or a one-shot of Nino/Mao. Involving a kiss and THAT jawline. Scratch that. I'm kidding. I just need my Nino/Mao fix.” -
ohcrepe I wasn’t kidding, I need a fix too. Because I’m very particular about who I fandom NinoxMao to, I filtered it.

It was April 24th 2009. The small, private press conference held in a room on the 5th floor of Tokyo Broadcasting Systems headquarters had just ended- no cameras permitted. The cast and some crew members of a well-anticipated drama bowed graciously as the reporters and various media personnel passed them by and out the exit…
And one of these cast members, with a small mischievous smile and a nod in his new costar’s direction, slipped off the stage and through an exit in the back of the room- fully taking advantage of the distraction the press unintentionally offered.
His new costar caught his wordless exchange, and with a shy, almost embarrassed smile, excused herself from the room with the need for a restroom as her alibi, before she shuffled politely off the stage… and when no one was looking, followed after him.
As soon as the back door exit shut behind her she let out a squeal of alarm that turned into hushed giggles- two arms had suddenly wrapped around her waist and jerked her close. Ninomiya Kazunari, her costar and “friend” was grinning when he pressed his index finger gently against her lips, urging her to be quiet. Just as quickly as he had pulled her to him, he replaced his finger with his lips, kissing her through smiles on her mouth, nose, cheeks, back to her mouth again.
A small giggle bubbled up through Inoue Mao’s lips again, and she pushed her own finger against Nino’s forehead and away from her, wrinkling her nose in mock disapproval.
“Nino-kun,” she said lowly, as Nino held her loosely around her hips.
“Mao-chan,” Nino teased, with a cheeky grin.
“We’re in the middle of the hallway, in the view of anyone in TBS who decides to walk by.”
Nino rose his eyebrows as he cocked his head minutely to the side, “And?”
“And you left the press conference early.”
He touched his forehead to hers,
“And you followed me.”
“You’re a bad influence,” she replied, her voice a mischievous whisper. She started to play with the collar of his shirt before she smoothed her hands over his shoulders, down to his chest. Nino watched her intently all the while, a smirk upon his lips.
“You’re not much of a help in making me a good boy,” he murmured.
Mao grinned impishly and pressed Nino against the wall, much to his amusement. She tip-toed to whisper against his ear, “Whoever said anything about helping you be a good boy?”
She brushed her lips against the sensitive spot behind his ear and kissed along his jaw line, hushing any words Nino would have said.
All of a sudden the back door exit burst open,
“Ninomiya-kun? Inoue-san?”
Nino’s manager looked left and then right to set his eyes on the two he was looking for.
“Double or nothing.” Nino was saying, arms crossed. Nino was leaning on the wall casually, an intense look on his face.
Mao was standing a few feet in front of him, smiling impishly. “Nothing then.”
“Eh, Mao-chan, I need to eat you know!”
Inoue Mao giggled, not taking the bait, “You’re a top idol, you eat plenty!”
“No I don’t… look at how skinny I am,” he poked his arm for emphasis, “Don’t you feel a little terrible?”
Mao put her index finger on her lip contemplatively. “…Mm… no.”
“So insensitive!”
She covered her mouth as she tried to stifle her small giggle.
It was here when Nino’s manager decided to intervene, his own smile presenting itself upon his lips. These two friends were always betting and quarreling about their DS games.
“I don’t mean to interrupt,” Nino’s manager began, “But some of the press want to ask you both a few more questions.”
Nino and Mao looked up at the manager as if they just realized he was there.
“Ah… okay. We’ll continue this later, ne, Mao-chan?” asked Nino, turning to her.
Mao caught the double-meaning behind his words, and had to resist the urge to kiss that leisurely smile off his lips. “Un.”
“Sorry,” the manager apologized. He went back through the door as Nino and Mao moved to follow him, but Nino subtly grabbed Mao’s hand, holding her back for a moment long enough to hear the door click shut before they even entered it.
They were kissing again. Mao brushed her fingertips along that perfect jaw of his, and Nino played with the silky length of her hair- both muffling each other’s giggles and chuckles.
Nino pulled away first, shaking his head slowly, “Why are you so fun to kiss?”
Mao tapped his nose with her finger, before she turned around to open the exit door. “If your band mates find out you’ve been keeping this little secret from them, they’ll kill you.”
Nino grinned, cheekily, “Then, ‘Can I meet you in Heaven?’”
Mao laughed. She opened the door for the both of them and pushed Nino jokingly inside.
