Throwback Thursdays~ Vintage Pop Edition (B07)
Hello Hello, lovely people of Yonsei University! It seems that DJ Song Joongki has been whisked away from us for the week but worry not, the show will go on. This is friendly neighborhood writer Choi Junhee speaking, taking the role of DJ Juniel and bringing you Throwback Thursdays the Vintage pop edition! I'll be straying from our theme from time to time with some modern jewels and covers starting with our opening acts. You just heard cute as a button, Monsieur Perine and aptly named Leftover Cuties!

Right! Today we are taking you way back and around the world with America's Doris Day, France's Joe Dassin and our very own Patti Kim. Yep! We are skipping from the fifties to the eighties with plenty of nostalgia in between as we take a look at the past. That being said I give you Miss Doris Day's "No Moon At All."
MUSIC / AD INSERTS The Yonsei University Greek Houses would like to announce that they will be opening their doors for aspiring new members of their brotherhood and sisterhood. There will be rushing activities beginning the 24th of June, conducted by the eight different Greek Houses, and all unafilliated students interested in the Greek Life are encouraged to come mingle and get to know potential brothers and sisters. The Houses will be announcing their events individually, so keep your eyes peeled on the Events Board!

Nope, we haven't gone anywhere just yet! This is DJ Juniel with Throwback Thursdays Vintage Pop Ediion, and I do believe you just heard father-daughter duo Frank and Nancy Sinatra with "Something Stupid" and Canadian crooner Michael Buble's rendition of eternal clasic "Sway." Aigoo, Let me just sit here and swoon forever now. ~

Swooning aside, I hope every single one of you has been having a great rush month! Make sure to check out all the events coming up this week and the next. There's a full schedule ahead and every Greek organization has set up great events. I'd tell you which ones I'm excited for, but DJ Juniel is a little biased in this regard! Today's event is Thirsty Thursday, the Rock edition! See? Fun stuff (laughs) happy rushing!

And it's back to our show! We've got a heart wrenching tango ballad from Italian singer Mina coming up next, a voice that blows my nind. Proving music lacks boundaries is our own Lee Dongwon with an outstanding cover of Julio Iglesias' "Hey." Stay tuned for Jewish-American Mirah, Paris Combo, and one of my favorites, Saori Yuki and Pink Martini with Brazilian classic, Mas Que Nada.

Don't forget! This is DJ Juniel bringing you Throwback Thursdays the Vintage Pop Edition, here on 120FM Yonsei Campus Radio!

Welcome back! Throwback Thursdays Vintage Pop edition is going strong! You've just heard Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazzlewood's unforgettable duet, Summer Wine, followed by a return to our times courtesy of Lana Del Rey who cites Sinatra among her influences. Aigoo, even I look up to Nancy. To those of you just tuning in, hello and welcome. This is DJ Juniel filling in for Monsieur Song Joongki! (laughs a bit) I hope you are having fun!

Well, just like that we've made it to the second half of our show and let me just say I am getting used to oppa's comfy chair. Guys, please don't tell him I said that! Speaking of Song Joongki oppa, lets all wish him a speedy recovery. Welcome back to Yonsei, oppa. Now please take care of that cold!

Aaaand our Vintage pop edition continues. Not so vintage however, with interruptions by Duffy and the amazing Shiina Ringo. Don't worry, I'll be bringing it back with a fun track by french Canadian, Caroline, dating back to 1967. Let's do this!

And we are back! This is DJ Juniel letting you know this is where my feelings gets involved as iconic Yé-yé girl Françoise Hardy wonders how she is to say goodbye. A favorite song and artist of mine, Françoise and I share a special bond! (laughs) I'm serious! For starters, right now I sure do wonder how am I to say goodbye to you, elegant listeners.

Yep, this is it. We've reached the end of our show and what a better way to let it go than with a little taste of home. Casker coming up next, followed by Ingrid.
