To the girl (or woman, rather, though I'd never stop referring to her nor the other eight by that) who has brought smiles, laughter, tears, worry, excitement, screams, change, to SONEs, Girls' Generation, and also as a giver of these; thank you. It has been five years since your debut, of which I've been around for merely one to two, but the effect you've had (and still hold) on me is immense. I have to admit that even as an avid fan, there've been times when I was quick to judge and frowned upon your actions.
What I have learnt as I matured though, much thanks to SNSD, is that 'things are not what they seem' is indeed often true, especially when passed through a network of people with the source unknown, as well as when viewed through a piece of glass or plastic in a manufactured form.
As I approach the second time we celebrate you and soon, SNSD, I realize how much more I now adore the nine of you, and I find these emotions far surpassing that of the casual fan I once thought I'd forever be. To add on to that, there's a special soft spot in this SONE heart I hold just for you; your expressions, your mannerisms, your entire being. You're the favourite victim of SNSD, and for me, all I want to do is protect you from becoming that of anyone else. I loved you because of the nine, and I'll continue to love the nine because of you.
As such, I hope that this new year to your lifetime will be filled with even more opportunities, success, celebrations, and most of all love. Love from us, love for us (gratefulness and humility are a major part of what I love you guys for), love for each other, and love for everyone else. You, Tiffany Hwang, are the embodiment of love. For love goes through pain and seperation, determination and effort, then emerges stronger, happier and all the more beautiful.
Thank You to God for one more year of love, of this once muddle-headed and embarassing pink mushroom who has long blossomed into one-ninth of a beautiful entity with no precedent.
