A history to be an Ed Westwick fangirl
Two weeks ago, I watched the first episode of GG. I was hooked in by the mystery and the love triangle between S/N/B, however after 3 episodes I started to lose my interest and decided to quit. Then the scene just moved onto a party in which Carter pissed Chuck off by luring Cuck's best friend Nate into SOME SORT OF REAL WORLD, and Chuck made his famous speech--this party is about excess, not exposition, so stop talking, start partying. That's the moment I fell for Ed/Chuck 
Other than the awesome lines that really made Chuck the character outstanding in GG, I sensed a great confidence in his acting too. His eyes, his grinning teeth, his body language and the way he delivers his lines, all these together just amazed me. Then I totally remembered his acting in the first two episodes Pilot and the Wild Brunch, which was also vivid, fresh and spectacular. I got addicted, inevitably, so I kept watching GG for Ed/Chuck.
Westwick's multilayered performance, which Savage calls "very cinematic, very 'movie star,' " forced the writers to reconsider. Slowly but surely, Chuck morphed into something far more interesting than a standard TV bad guy.--Sarah Kuhn
That's exactly what I thought when I was watching GG. With the story moving on, his role just grew bigger and bigger, and I believed it was all because of Ed's excellent acting
Have to thank the writers and Leighton for co-operating with Ed so well and they together made Chuck Bass so interesting and delicious.
Such a long confession~
OH there's one thing very wrong tho. Ed you really should wear as many layers as you did in S1 cause that style suits you better~ (only my opinion~Ed fans please don't hit me hard for that~;P)
Upper two show the very first moment I was impressed by his acting. He portrayed his role with such a confidence which made my heart seriously skip a beat.
I love his flamboyant Chuck Bass-ish look in S1 to death.
The very moment I fell in love with this Chuck Basstard when he's making his famous speech.
Chace Crowfort really has a beautiful face but his acting is seriously a bore.
I love stills. He looks so cute in his boy-ish outfit and his signature scarf.

In S1, Chuck&Blair stole the whole show. They became the most popular couple in GG.

In S2, Ed changed his look in order to give his role some depth, which turned out to be very good. His profile reminds me a lot of Marlon Brando.

Both Ed and Leighton were nominated by Emmy awarding by their acting in GG

I don't have a big expectation of S3 but I'll keep watching for Ed/Chuck
