I just realised something about the movie AvatarThroughout the course of the movie, the male hero is first compared to a baby by the Native American Princess character because she literally screams "You're a baby! The more you talk about this movie, the more I never, ever want to see it.

And yet, every single person I know who's seen it IRL is singing its praises and giving me sour looks when I try to explain why I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEE IT.

Yay, it's pretty. That's great--but if the story is failtastic, I don't care how pretty it is! It didn't save a huge chunk of the anime I tried to get into way back when, I don't think it'll save this movie.
