HIMYM Meme - Day 6
Day 6 - Favourite Season 5 episode(s).
Season 5 was a mixed bag, there were good times, and there were bad. When things got bad, they got really bad (WHO THE HELL THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUNNY TO PUT SOMEONE AS ATTRACTIVE AS NPH IN A FAT-SUIT? O_o)... but it didn't always start out that way... in fact, I remember watching an episode, and being soooo happy and gleeful about it, I HAD to SHOW THE WORLD (well, at least everyone in my household)...
So my pick for Season 5's best episode?
"Definitions"
C'mon, it was the last glimpse of BroTP at its best... we start off by finding out they were not together, but then we find that they had actually been hooking up ALL SUMMER and having what I assume was incredible sex (hey, they needed a safe word for gosh sakes!). We got hot kissage, jealous!Barney, and hand holding! THEY WENT TO BRUNCH!! And of course, we can't forget the AWESOMENESS of this particular convo:
Robin: "Really. We sat down. We had the talk. Barney's my boyfriend now."
Barney: "And Robin's my girlfriend. I know it sounds nuts, but it feels good to say."
Robin: "We're both afraid of commitment, but the fact is, we also can't live without each other."
Barney: "And if the alternative is not being together, then it's worth taking this risk, 'cause... She's awesome."
Robin: "And he's awesome. He looks nice in a suit."
Barney: "She can handle her Scotch."
Robin: "He's my boyfriend."
Barney: "And she's my girlfriend."
*clutches hand over heart and just dies of gleeful soppiness*
Besides all the wonderful BroTP, we also got:
- Ted's Fedora
- Professor!Ted and his "Thaank-YOU!"
- Ted in the WRONG CLASSROOM (I nearly peed myself laughing at that one XD)
- T-dog!
- Professor spelling fail!
- Barney asking Ted for condoms! XD
- Marshall's whippage glee!
- Flugelhorn (did you know it was actually a musical instrument... because I didn't... >.< Haha, I seriously thought it was just Barney and Robin's safe word and safe word alone :P)
To name a few...
So, as you can probably tell now, I REALLY REALLY liked Definitions... (was just upset the rest of the season could not live up to the opener)
"Definitions" aside, the rest of Season 5 wasn't ALWAYS THAT bad... there were other episodes I enjoyed quite a bit, even if I was slightly frustrated it wasn't bringing the storyline anywhere.
1. Robin101 -> Because Barney being a student with ADHD is the cutest thing ever! ^^ And the final scene with that Barney smile.... gah!
2. Duel Citizenship -> BroTP just being their usual awesome selves! Poor Barney, got bashed up by Canadians...
3. Of Course -> Yes, I cried at the end. I actually cried at the end. Whether it was because I was mourning for BroTP, or because it gave me some hope for them, not sure... but Barney was such an adorable sop, and that scene of him walking away from Anita and jumping into the river, and then subsequently being all alone whilst Don TOOK HIS DATE with Robin was just so so sad...
4. Girls vs. Suits -> Yes, it's for the song. HAhaha...
5. Doppelgangers -> Because Barney was being adorable, and I loved seeing Lily kiss him, and then hug him! ^^
So... finally, we're done with the favourite episodes each season... looking forward to other interesting questions to answer in the following days! ^^
Oh a side note... OMG, MY SCHOOLWORK IS KILLING ME!!!!! >.< (yet, why am I still here right? Heh... priorities people, priorities...)
