All right, if I'm being honest, it's not often that I put my feminist hat on. I mean, yes, I'm all for women's rights and equality and stuff, and I have a bit of a vested interest anyway because I am, you know, a woman and all that, but I don't actively seek out injustices and whatnot. I also feel that sometimes, the word "feminism" is thrown around a bit too much whenever anything involving women pops up, and people tend to be too quick to accuse each other of being feminist or anti-feminist, when it's not really a feminist issue.
That being said, however, THIS is one of the most disgusting things I've seen this whole election cycle. I admit, things were really bad during the primaries, but to say (not imply, outright say) that the only reason a woman would be voted for is because she's seen as being an ideal for women and a mating object for men?

I can't even let myself think about the "Hillary didn't wear a skirt!" thing, because my head just might explode. This is just so fucking unacceptable, and the fact that this douchebag said it, and was allowed to say it, and not reprehended at all is so fucking horrifying. How is it that in the first election when a woman was actually close to being nominated for president, the entire country is being thrown back to the good ole days of the 1950s?
Leave it to the fucking Republicans to turn this into a national frenzy. God, I don't even know how to express myself anymore. I am so fucking disappointed in everything right now.
