Moving Up with Down's

Jul 02, 2010 16:01

God knows how long it has been since I was last active in the fandom. I've been blessed with some new tasks in one of my Clinic... I'm sure those in my texting circle know all about my trials and bodyaches every Friday. I get a lot of teasing from my friends coz I work six days a week. They all know how sacred my Sundays are since that's the only day I get to recharge for the next week.

Last Sunday, I willingly gave up this beloved rest day to volunteer my services to the annual Free Clinic of the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) I always make it a point to take part in the different activities of this group, be it as a speaker on the seminars on early intervention or with their medical missions.  One of the rewards of this job is seeing your clients or their parents smile when their kid is able to sit, or roll, or stand by themselves for the first time. For some reason, this feeling is amplified when you get to help those who don't have the means to pay for private care. Allow me to share with you some photos of this event, and I hope they touch your heart as much as they did mine.

Last but not the least...

Was surprised when I found out that I had a picture by the official photographer of the event :)
