The first time I had curry was last 2006. I think it was the red [or was it green] curry of Jatujak at the SM Mall of Asia. While I was amazed by the way the flavors blended in that dish, curry wasn't part of my list of favorite things to eat until middle of last year when I tried the pork tonkatsu curry of Bubble Tea. Since then, I've been trying to find more and more places that serve that sweet-spicy curry of the Japanese. I usually go to Bubble Tea, Kimono Ken or Oki Oki for my curry fix. Now, I add another name to my list of curry "enablers" - Curry Curry House.
Curry Curry House's lone branch is at the Atrium of SM Megamall (3rd flr). Bernie and I literally froze in our tracks when we first saw it last week on our way to Amici with our mum to dinner. My mum hates the smell of curry so we promised ourselves that we'll try it next time when she's not with us. That next time turned out to be yesterday on our way home from visiting Dad and Grandpa. I wonder what the waitress was thinking when she saw 2 ladies skipping to their restaurant with very big smiles on their faces. After some moments of indecision [like 5 long seconds], we ordered the Tofu and vegetable Curry [mine] and the Torikatsu Curry [hers]. We then busied ourselves with our favorite pasttime next to enjoying good food...taking pictures of places that serve good food.
The pictures at the counter made choosing really hard coz I was bent on having the Tofu curry but that Osaka Sausage curry looked so interesting.

Kawaii, desu ne?
They serve endless refills [or bottomless, as we call it here] of iced tea for P60. If you order the bento, then your refills are for free.
They're here...itadakimasu!
Tofu curry
Torikatsu curry
They serve the sauce on the side so you have control over the amount of sauce you want to mix with your order. I poured it on top of mine while Bernie would just spoon it on top of each bite [a waste of time, IMO]. Sauces are either spicy or ordinary.
Each order comes with this side salad. I don't know what it's called [coleslaw?], but it was a nice complement to the curry.
I love the way they prepared the tofu, crunchy on the outside while chewy on the inside. At first I thought we switched orders coz the tofu had a firmer texture than usual. It felt [and looked] almost like chicken breast fillet.
Halfway through our meal, the waitress approached us and gave us another reason to love this place...all the meals come with endless servings [bottomless] of rice!!! This really is a treat to all the rice-loving Pinoys, or Asians in general. You can order extra curry sauce for your rice.
This is our version of doing the dishes, lol.
Koji, the ninja, and how he would win over his enemies not by fighting them but by making them eat his curry [leaders of warring nations, pay attention]
2 happy, curry-stuffed ladies
P430 [~US$ 9.50]...not bad, ne?
