Driver's license acquired. Time to level up.
The Lump got his driver's license today.

FINISHED PULLING THE CARPET.
Today I finally moved my bed (with the help of the Lump, of course), pulled up the carpet, tack strip, nails, and staples, and then moved everything back. It took, oh, six months, but the carpet job is finally done, and I am relishing my victory ( Read more... ) -

So Dad and I ran a metric ton of errands today, got home, looked at each other, and realized it was Saturday night. The Lump was working and wouldn't need a ride until late. The homestead did not require our attention. We were, to put it kindly, bored.

Today Mom and I drove to Fairhope for the heck of it. On the way, we stopped in a candy store, an art shop, and a seafood restaurant. We ducked in and out of a few antique and thrift stores, plus a cafe since I didn't have time to make coffee that morning. It rained most of the time. So yesterday? Was great. It was just a really, really good day, and a welcome ending to the Spring Break I spent in bed, horrifyingly sick, drugged up on NyQuil and mindlessly watching YouTube episodes of Say Yes to the Dress.
