another restaurant discovery to add to the rotation of regulars, and place to take my parents when they visit....
* Bossa Nova (7181 W Sunset Blvd, LA) -- frickin' AWESOME black beans, rice, & plantains... i could eat that stuff nearly every day. mm mm good. and i had plenty o' leftovers for lunch the next day.
while dining at Bossa Nova, we noticed rapper/actor Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges sitting at a table next to us. i had to get up and make a trip to the bathroom to verify his identity, as my back was turned to his table. yup... sho' nuff, it be him, yo. not exactly the big, intimidating gangsta thug his handlers would have you believe that he is. he just sat there quietly with a couple of friends, awaiting their meal. (dude's got really skinny little legs, too... must be why he usually hides them in pants fifteen sizes too big)
