realizations
I've come to a few realizations this past week....
1. I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to wedding planning. But this "Bride on a budget" is determined to not be deterred by sleazy shopkeepers, fluffed-up florists, and conniving caterers. We WILL have the wedding of our dreams, and we WILL be able to afford it. And I will not turn a single hair on my head grey in the process.
2. I need to practice signing my married name, especially since my initials aren't changing and the N is an integral part of my official signature. Currently it looks something like A-[squiggle] N-[squiggle]-[something resembling "q"]-[squiggle]-t... I need it to look something more like N-[squiggle]-h-[squiggle]-l-[squiggle]-s. It's going to take some work... good thing I have at least a year to practice. (no we haven't set a date yet)
3. Colds suck.
4. So do the Santa Ana winds... it kicks up my allergies.
5. #3+#4=Adrienne feeling like complete shit for the last 5 days.
6. Zicam is a waste of money.

7. I make BITCHIN' creme brulee... complete with the crispy sugar topping (courtesy of the kitchen-sized blow torch I received for x-mas).
