some newses...

by now most of you know that i'm moving this month, but i haven't said where.  well, it's official now... Chris and I are moving in together!

My parents are going to take care of Dakota for a couple of months so I can get out of this house and move in with him right now.  Then, after the Holidays, we're finding our own place and bringing Dakota back home.  I feel so guilty giving up my doggie but it was Mom's idea and Chris and I will be able to save a bunch of dough between now & the end of the year by staying in his place for a few more months.  (It figures that he would live in the one building on his entire street that doesn't allow dogs.)  So, when Mom and Dad head back north, so too will Dakota go... but it should be a good time for her.  After all, she'll have two other hounds to play with... and frankly, Ruby Doo and Charlotte Too can use the exercise that Dakota will no doubt give them.  (And Mommie will be sending care packages.)

I'm a little nervous, but excited... I can't believe I'm doing this again, yet at the same time, it feels like the right thing to do for our relationship.  Thank god he's never lived with anyone... he's as close to a virgin as I'll ever get.  :)

In other news...

* I just put the final payment for my car in the mail.  Smurfette is mine, ALL MINE!  It'll be nice not to have a car payment for awhile.  Or, until I can no longer resist the urge to buy a new car.

* I passed my Notary Public exam & got my fingerprints taken.  Now I just have to wait until my background check clears & I'll be able to add one more little random line to my resume.  Anyone need anything notarized?  I'm your woman!

* Parents arrive in 10 days and I still haven't planned their visit itinerary yet.  We are spending the first two days in Paso (Sat & Sun), but after that, it's up in the air.  I'd better get to cracking.  AND i have to get all my packing done between now & then so i can actually enjoy the visit and not be schleping boxes around.
