A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words, No Truer Words Have Been Spoken

Sometimes I wish I could draw. Unfortunately I have the artistic talent of a rock. I can't draw to save my life, unless you count stick people. The reason why ( Read more... )

woah chill....

there's really nothing great about being an artist when you don't have a story to tell. I'd rather be able to write a beautiful story than draw. Drawing is very, very hard, and takes a lot of imagination and practice and research for you to be very skilled :S

I mean look at me, I've been drawing since I was liek what... 10 years old? I'm still nowhere near godlike awesome or anything. I'm just drawing to express frustration or boredom. And I don't even have much time to practice drawing now. It's becoming just a small hobby to keep myself entertained. Sides, you'll save yourself from having to experience extreme back pain DX;

Sorry been meaning to read your fanfics, but garggghhh work kept me so occupied, just checking my email takes a whole day. >.> Gonna go read your fics now. Mebbe we can do a collab if you dont mind my crappy art XD

Excuse me?!? Your art is seriously like godlike awesome ok! If I had half your talent...but then again, if wishes were horses we'd all ride, yeah?

Lol, at least art can keep you entertained. Sometimes I wish I could draw so I can doodle during exams or something. Instead, I practice my japanese by writing out song lyrics. Haha~ Writing can't keep you entertained during exams coz can't write if no inspiration...

Ooohh...collab? Sounds lovely! Well, it's up to you what you wanna collab with, I'm mostly still writing KAT-TUN RPS. Or you can do something for an existing fic if you feel you like it. Up to you, since you're busy and all...

Aww...Don't be discouraged. You're WAY better than me, who couldn't draw AND write. Your fics are actually quite good. All you need is to practise. So keep the fics coming! LoL! Ganbatte!

Frustrated more like. I'm, like, stuck. I keep starting on new stuff coz I can't finish the previous and a new idea strikes. Sucks, really.

I completely know what you mean. I have a whole novel in my head, bashing at the inside of my skull to get out but I just can't put it into words, it's far to visual. I'd love to be able to turn it into a manga but I can't draw for nuts. I can't seem to write more than a one shot either, which is bloody frustrating.

Whenever I get motivated I try my hand at manga-style drawing with help from www.mangatutorials.com. I'm slowly getting better but I can only do faces and they all end up looking like the same girl (though I fluked drawing Taguchi once. I tried to do it again and failed repetitively).

All I can say is keep writing. I started out only being able to write drabbles and now I'm up to writing complete one shots with actual plot. And I like your fics; they have a tone to them that is entirely your own. They're sweet.

Keep writing, ne.

Thanks for the encouragement~ Well, I can't seem to write more than a oneshot either. I kinda run out of steam/inspiration halfway and it gets left half-done. I have quite a lot of fics sitting around half finished. Only oneshots seem to work coz if I'm lucky, I can finish it off in 1 sitting.

I would love to tackle more serious plots, but unfortunately all roads seem to end in fluff. Lolz!

Really, thank you for the words of support. I'll definitely keep writing as long as I'm inspired. Can't keep away when the plot bunny bites, task master that it is. ^_^
