Transition: Eighter to Kisumai

Dec 07, 2011 23:52

**Note: this is just a long rambling entry about random stuff. Nothing here really. Just ended up doing a sort-of postmortem.

since I've already admitted to myself that Fujigaya Taisuke is my current ichiban...

Why have I semi-abandoned Eito??? well…
Excuses Reasons:

1. 関西弁わからへん! (Kansai-ben wakarahen!)
Though I find it meccha omoroi~ And when I went to Osaka, my friend who's studying there noticed I picked up a lot of Kansai-ben and used it in normal conversation, LOL. Well not strange since I was in Kansai, but IDK if I used it in Tokyo?
Also, I never spoke when I was in Kansai, I just relied on my friend to talk to people. But I used words like "shiran", "wakaran"/"wakarahen", "akan" did I??, etc. Hopefully NOT in Tokyo!
Anyway, I've said this before, but I need to watch Eito things with subs. Otherwise, my attention would wander and I'd end up not understanding anything.

2. たちょんは細すぎ (Tacchon is too thin)
Actually he's been too thin since he got sick before/while doing ROMES. BUT I didn't want to give up on him becoming chubbier again. It's been 2 years…guess it's time to accept that model Tacchon won't get chubbier anytime soon. *sigh*

3. I haven't changed ichibans in 3 years!!!!
and given that the 2nd longest time another JE boy was my ichiban (Ryo and Tacchon not counted) was around 6-9 months (!!!!) this is a feat for me! So…it's about time I changed.

4. Eito's music style is changing.
Well, I do like their album, but their 3 latest singles are too serious for me. Actually, I didn't like LIFE either. even Wonderful World. (random: Tacchon's part in Wonderful World is still my alarm. I don't like the song but I liked waking up to Tacchon's voice. actually the song irritates me so I have to wake up and turn it off, serves the purpose. but I'm not lying when I say I like the sound of Tacchon's voice.)

5. They've become too familiar
Well after 4 years of being an Eighter…though there's always something new, I've pretty much established in my mind what their roles in the group are. Their personalities, likes, and dislikes. Not that I REALLY know them IRL but…as a fangirl it's fun to discover new things about my obsession. And since I've "researched" Eito for so long, well…it's gotten a bit boring routine. Few big surprises.
I guess I do like learning new things about my idols LOL.

So…why Kisumai?

1. They totally deserve their debut
The drama of them being Jrs for sooooo long, with Hey!Say!JUMP debuting before them is just amazing. Yama-child Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri debuted TWICE before they did!!! Yet they hung in there and stuck w/ Johnny's! I'd have given up looong ago, if I was in their skates.

2. I've had my eye on Fujigaya Taisuke for a while…after a friend pointed him out
A friend of mine xwhimsyx said she liked a member of Kisumai, and pointed Taipi out. I was like, "are, kakkoii jan~" and joined in LOL. yes I totally did this again, sumimasen! she was also the one who pointed out Tacchon, who became my ichiban for the longest time so far. She liked him, too. (>.>) Not liking this emerging pattern, LOL.
Stefu ooaquamarineoo watch out! LOL
Well, I've always liked to play spot-the-Taipi in KAT-TUN concerts. XD He was the only Kisumai member I knew back then so when I'd see his maegami I'd know Kisumai was there…and I'd watch him backdance. Yes, I'd ignore KT and watch Taipi backdance. EXCEPT when Kame would distract me with his sluttiness STAAAH power.

3. Tamamori as Katsuragi Ren was AMAZING
Need I say more? Well, Tamamori was TOTALLY DIFFERENT from his usual self when he was playing Ren. Who knew he could act like that??? I'm sorry I never paid attention to this guy because he does his best to be invisible in Kisumai. And his bland hair and quiet personality made him just melt into the background, outside my strike zone errr… focus?

4. They're newly debuted, but they're not exactly brand new.
They have a HISTORY. 7 painful years of waiting to debut, backdancing for debuted groups including their kouhai (!!!!), lots of ShoKura experience, lots of interviews and magazine spreads w/ all of them crammed into a few pages… and lots of new things for me to read and learn. I find myself studying THEM instead of my postgraduate lessons! For instance, I'm writing this entry instead of studying for Finals!!! excuse: I'm tired from 11hrs of work &1hr+ of commuting from work
I'm reading translated magazine interviews, watching old and new Shounen Club episodes, etc. just to learn more about them. It's FUN~~~

5. I have RL friends to share my fandom with
Even if I had to infect influence them forcibly persuasively to give Ikemen desu ne (and Kisumai) a chance.
Actually this is getting to an unhealthy point since me and ooaquamarineoo feed each other's addiction. We're both adding fuel to the fire. We tweet @ each other like a hundred tweets per day (!!!) about Kisumai. And I'm not even exaggerating, we DO tweet @ each other THAT much. About Kisumai. Not much else.

I just remembered something we always joke about: my memories of Everybody Go.
- Strongest memory of listening to the single: when I was on the train to Osaka Castle for the lantern festival. Alone. #foreveralone
it was a Sunday and after church, I thought my friends would go to Osaka Jou with me. We walked to the train station…and they gave me instructions on which trains to take, where to transfer, and they all went to the other platform. (>.>) ooookay then. But I think that was the only day I spent alone in Osaka.

- First time I saw the PV: In the Ikemen desu ne booth at Akasaka Sacas
I randomly went to TBS on my last day in Tokyo, and was surprised to find that there was an event in Akasaka Sacas. I'm not sure how often they do things like that, but well, I happily walked along and took pictures of/with things related to TBS shows, some of which I'd watched. I did a separate post on that.
Anyway, when I went to the Ikemen desu ne booth, that PV was on loop! So I watched it there not once, but several times! But there were a LOT of girls people there, so I didn't actually get to watch the entire thing uninterrupted, because I couldn't just stand there blocking the way.

- Watched episodes of Ikemen desu ne on TV
Yes, it's nothing special for those who live in Japan, but for me, it's a big thing! I mean, I usually have to wait for someone to upload the eps so I can watch, but that time I watched it w/o delay…though I had to watch with CMs. but whatever many Japanese CMs are interesting.
And I remember being too kilig and going all "kyaaaaaaa" and thumping on the bed…and Joaqs told me to stop because his downstairs neighbors might get mad. LOL. (he lives in a tatami room so it's not exactly soundproof)

If only I could say I saw Kisumai members when I was in Tokyo…but zanen, no such luck. And no luck w/ concert tickets, too. Who'd have thought I'd become such a big fan? I wasn't when I was actually there. And I wasn't quite willing to shell out JPY 50k+ for tickets to their Nagoya show. *poor girl from 3rd world country*
maybe next time I will. BUT first I'll join their fanclub so I can ballot fairly…as soon as Johnny-san makes one for them! Johnny, what's taking so long??? I want to join nooowwwww~~!!

ok so I TOTALLY forgot the main point of me opening a text editor.
I was watching Monjai Beat making and thought Tacchon reminded me of someone here:

then I paused that part and stared at it, then it hit me: GACKT???? why does Tacchon suddenly remind me of GACKT??????????

and I got caught up in analyzing my abandonment of Eito and my love for Kisumai, and ended up forgetting all about this until I switched screens, LOL.
side note: they're using Macs to design the jerseys!!!!!!
