Character Sketches: Elven Prince Aneirin of the North

Jul 20, 2015 02:09

If the father was the heart of winter then his son was the chilling end. Aneirin was like the days in February when winter still clings dearly to its chill but is in the midst of letting it be taken over by the hearty spring. In Aneirin’s eyes was the icy stillness of pure white snow that glitters paling blue, yet just beyond the frost is the coming green seen if you look well enough. While Aneirin’s father showcased the sinister steps of winter winds and icy slopes with purples, blues, and silvers, Aneirin was the chilling breath that had the sting of winter but the warming release that something new was about to begin. In Aneirin was the blooming of pale blues and frosty greens. If ever late winter had a face it was Aneirin’s, whose pale façade was offset by his demeanor that there was cause yet to still hope in better days, that spring was just at the foot of the hill waiting for someone to tread down the harsh winter for the better winds below.
