Wigeon:

A duck found in North America and in Europe.  The American wigeon also called the baldpate, has a distinctive call -- whew, whew, whew.  The crown and forehead of the male are white.  Both species are about 19 inches (48 cm) long.  The female lays 7 to 12 creamy white eggs in the ground near water.
