I got K. And at first I thought I'd have a hard time coming up with five. Heh.
Keith is the captain/squadron leader/whatever of the Lion Force Voltron team. He wears red, has a mullet, pilots the Black Lion, and I had a crush on him like you wouldn't believe when I was 12. (I had drawings of him in my sketchbook!) Granted, it's been ages since I actually saw an episode of Voltron (although I did buy the box sets), but I remember him as a very capable, competent leader who is more than willing to do everything he can to protect his team and the people he serves. I think he and Princess Allura were my first OTP.
Bonus: amusingly enough, on the original "Go-lion" show, his character name was Akira Kogane, and his seiyuu was Inoue Kazuhiko. That alone is more than enough reason for me to get the "Go-lion" sets that are (FINALLY!) being released. =Db
Mamoru Kusanagi is from Blue Seed, a Yuzo Takada manga. In the anime tv series, his seiyuu was Inoue Kazuhiko (SCORE). The guardian of the Kushinada hime, as an infant he was taken by plant monsters (aragami) and altered to serve their purposes, so he's kind of half-human, half-plant. (And has cat eyes. Dunno how that works.) Originally he was only supposed to guard the Kushinada hime until the plant monsters could figure out a way to kill her without setting off her power to put them (the plant monsters) to sleep, but he kind of didn't like that. Not that he liked them to begin with, what with killing his family and nabbing him and all that.
Konzen Douji was (Genjo) Sanzo's past incarnation in Heaven. The nephew of Kanzeon Bosatsu was a rather anal and bureaucratic god, but very pretty too. And he got stuck with a little monkey named Goku who "woke him up" so to speak. :D
Makoto Kino is the current incarnation of Sailor Jupiter, and she's proof that kicking ass and awesome cooking abilities are not mutually exclusive. :Db
Kotori Monou is from CLAMP's "X/1999" manga. A childhood friend of Kamui Shirou, and the younger sister of Fuuma Monou, her constitution was on the delicate side, and she was a fledgling dreamgazer (yumemi). I really didn't get why I saw a lot of on-line derision/hate for her back when X fandom was more active--she seemed like a perfectly normal (if slightly sickly) girl who was slowly discovering her dreamgazing ability and got caught up in rather extraordinary events beyond her control. (Then again, I heard there was a lot of hate for Pepper Potts in the "Iron Man" movie, which also boggles my mind, but whatever.)
Bonus thanks to my EVIL brain: Koumyou Sanzo was Genjo Sanzo's master. I was trying to think of ways to describe him when my brain came up with an evil thought: "You know, he's kind of what Hakkai would be like as a Sanzo, without the incest." Y/N? XD
