instant messaging client

hello! I'm thinking of getting a multi-protoccol instant messaging client, since I want to try out LJ Talk, and it'll be silly if I don't get one that's got everything!

criteria: to be logged in to all these accounts
- google talk
- msn messenger
- lj talk
- and preferably irc

I've only gotten Psi to do Google and LJ Talk, but its notifier isn't so great. Gaim is the best for all of these, if you can figure out how to install the IRC plug-in.

gaim is good for everything but IRC. get mIRC - i can hook you up with a "registered" copy if you want

it works, yeah, but it doesn't work well, in my (IRC geeky) opinion. and uh, yeah, i'll email you the executable later. remind me if i don't in the next day or two because i'll forget otherwise >_>

Gaim crashed on me fairly often so I gave that up... Haven't tried the mirc crack that JD gave me though x=

Why, what were you interested in? Gaim or IRC?

I have never used IRC. Ever. :-) I was wondering about gaim. Too bad it is so crashy.

It's ok if you want to automatically log into all listed accounts at start up. It crashes when I tried to log on to another msn account halfway. hmphs.
