instant messaging client

hello! I'm thinking of getting a multi-protoccol instant messaging client, since I want to try out LJ Talk, and it'll be silly if I don't get one that's got everything!

criteria: to be logged in to all these accounts
- google talk
- msn messenger
- lj talk
- and preferably irc

Gaim crashed on me fairly often so I gave that up... Haven't tried the mirc crack that JD gave me though x=

Why, what were you interested in? Gaim or IRC?

I have never used IRC. Ever. :-) I was wondering about gaim. Too bad it is so crashy.

It's ok if you want to automatically log into all listed accounts at start up. It crashes when I tried to log on to another msn account halfway. hmphs.

Just never got into such stuff. It came online after I had finished with talk, ntalk, and otalk; and before I got into permanent ongoing email.

I did not get a stable email account until around 1992. By then IRC was old hat and I had never caught on!
