Poetry: Walking

Dec 30, 2011 18:13

It’s been ages since I last wrote something, and I’ve become quite insecure about my writing. hahaha! So, here I am, trying to polish it again before it totally slips away from me. I wrote something very random, and I don’t know what to make of it. ;__;

============================================

Walking

‘Forward we must move,'
is all we often say.
That though on different roads we drove
perhaps one day we may tread the common way.
So forward I thought we went
walking on and on and on.
Seasons changed, as irons persist
but the sounds of chain I hear alone.
You drove on ahead, fast as you could
and looking back was much a bother.
Who knows what it is you’ve followed
But somehow today I see you here.
Tired and weary we both are
We find ourselves just right where we were
This time it’s plain and clear
That walking on starts with letting go.
