Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The very first thing I thought of at the end of the movie was “Harry is such a prick!” I may be a guy, but surely the young fem-tweens who use to adore the character of Harry are surely going to be a little miffed at the mis-treatment of his ‘girlfriend’. Was that in the book?

Okay, if you’ve never seen the series of Harry Potter movies before this, don’t go. It won’t make sense. You won’t get a feel for the transition of characters. You’ll be wondering what all the praise is for. Gone are the memorizing witchery effects, gone are the cute tweens and their innocence, this is a darker more grownup version.

And who the heck told Helena Carter to act so stiffly as the character Bellatrix anyway? It’s like she showed up one day to do record all her lines and read them off giant postcards behind the camera somewhere.

I’m sure that the avid book followers were generally disappointed in the movie version but then Order of the Phoenix was one big ass book to try and recreate on the screen. While I’ll buy it on dvd when it comes out, I wouldn’t have had it been the first edition of the series.
