LIBERATION!

As of today, I am officially and eternally DONE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM. SWEET JEEBUS FISHSTICKS, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY.

I took my last IB exam ever today- Spanish SL Papers 1 and 2. They weren't bad, but I didn't really care about how I did as A) I'm getting Spanish credit regardless for having taken 4+ years of a language and B) I already got a 6 and a 5 on my other two SL exams, so I literally would have needed to get only a 2 to pass. Not worried. Ahh, so wonderful! Done!

Unfortunately, I still have one more AP exam... physics. But again, I don't entirely care, as I plan on taking a physics course again regardless. I love physics, but this course just kicked me to the curb and back again, so I'm considering just going into college as though it just didn't happen. I'd really be okay with it. I just had a degree of burnout this weekend due to personal matters that I simply could not bring myself to stress about an exam that couldn't hurt me even if I straight 1'd it. Furthermore, while my teacher is a nice enough guy, he hasn't really brought me to care about the exam... I'm a little concerned that he'll see my score and perhaps be disappointed in me, but if I study at all I'll improve from the practice exam (and I've already attended three consecutive Saturday tutorials, and will be staying for tomorrow's as well, sooo. I've been studying!! ... just not as much as I'd need to if I legitimately wanted a 5. XD)

Apart from that, I'm so very much looking forward to graduation/college, even with the roommate drama that went down. (Long story short: a friend who I thought I'd be rooming with doesn't want to for some rather idiotic reasons, but I digress.) And, not going to lie, the prep stuff for college is fuuunnn. Like laptop shopping. I've pretty much picked out what laptop I'm getting (Sony Vaio CW series in indigo with a crap ton of customizations added to make it the SUPER LAPTOP), and am now deciding on bikes. It's great. I already got my bedding, and am looking forward to all the assorted miscellaneous to get, like toiletries and so on. Yes, I am that geekish.

Doll front: I'm basically waiting until school is done with the year to do Clio's face-up (DX), but I found an amazing set of paintbrushes specifically for miniature painting- so tiny and detailed! Perfect for a pukipuki face-up. Depending on what graduation money I get (if it covers my laptop and bike adequately), I may be getting a new doll as well. Ideally, it'd be a Rosette School for Dolls Extra Curricular Sakura (I LOVE THAT DRESS AND HER FACE-UP OH MY WORD), but if she's out of stock/too expensive by that point I'll likely get a basic Rosette Student Camellia or Armeria instead. And figure out a way to make it an Angel outfit of my own design. It's my own fault... I KNEW if I started watching Angelic Layer my craving for a Rosette doll would increase tenfold, because it's like Rosette looked at the Angels and decided, 'LET'S MAKE THOSE THINGS REAL!' and then DID. Soooo perfect.

On that note, Angelic Layer may be one of my new top animes. It's hilarious and adorable. Plus the English voice cast is full of 'hey it's that voice' moments. Like the main character has the same VA as Chiyo-chan, Icchan has the same voice as Kimura (for INSANE hilarity), Shuko has the same voice as Sakaki, Tamayo has the same voice as Rio from Spiral (THERE'S A TAMA WITH ITSUKA'S VOICE! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS!), and the voice actors for Daisuke from DNAngel and the famous Vic Mignogna also makes an appearance. It's just a cute, fun anime in the same 'verse as Chobits, only happier and cuter and with more ridiculously fun costumes. And another Hikaru with pink hair- hilariously, Hikaru cameos in Tsubasa as Eagle's Angel, thus confirming that CLAMP knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

(Plus, I may be able to Jedi mind-trick my boyfriend into doing an Icchan and Chitose cosplay... XD)

So yeah. My school year is wrapping up and I am relieved. There's a lot of uncertainty ahead (we have to go house-hunting once more, my dad still doesn't have a job, and my mom is undergoing a new treatment), but I'm feeling pretty okay as to where things are headed. I'm hopeful, anyway, and that's just about all anyone could really ask of me.
