I mentioned in the comments of my previous post that I had to take one of our cats to the vet today with a large bald spot on her throat area along with reddish, irritated skin.

The vet told me she what is called a 'hot spot' and an underlying infection.  A bit more of the surrounding fur was shaved and the area was washed well, and there was only ( Read more... )

Glad to hear it is not serious. Poor kitty.. You're so lucky she will take pills easily! Lots of cuddles...

Oy. I've tried over the years to feed pills to pets....with varying but low levels of success. The dogs generally don't bite, they just wait till we ain't lookin' the *plugh* the pill out. The cats...are armed, and know how to use them. Buona fortuna compare.

I have found that pilling our cats is fairly routine by using pill pockets. They are so used to kitty treats that they just snarf them right down, easy peasy....

Our cats idea of roughing it is sleeping on the floor. They are so beyond spoiled.

They do not like going outside. At all. It's a great way to terrify them, actually. Which I don't care to do...
