Kitty Update
I mentioned in the comments of my previous post that I had to take one of our cats to the vet today with a large bald spot on her throat area along with reddish, irritated skin.
The vet told me she what is called a 'hot spot' and an underlying infection. A bit more of the surrounding fur was shaved and the area was washed well, and there was only one flea found (we recently had problems with fleas) and I get to give a cat a pill twice a day for two weeks. Thank heavens this cat will take pills in a pill pocket...
So, nothing serious but troublesome for her. Everyone is home, and the other two members of the herd are snarling and hissing at poor Polly because she's been out of the house and smells funny now. Stoopid Kats...
