Finally! After 2 months my hearing date for my Unemployment benefits appeals is on Nov. 2 at 2:10 pm.  Which is All Souls Day...Very interesting, I say. At any rate my focus will be gearing up for this fight. Needless to say, I will not be attending other folk's ceremonies at this time. :{

Had an interview session with UPL today. I will know in 5 days if they will take my case. I still have no idea when my hearing date is. I will receive a notice in the mail 7-10 days prior to my hearing. This is one of the few times that I wish I did not have a PO Box.

Appeal letter has been written and mailed today. Now we wait to see when the hearing will be. The OHA website says 30 days, but I bet it will be longer than that given how swamped the system is. At least this gives me time to collect my thoughts, composure and time to figure out the best way to present my case ( Read more... )

Unemployment has denied my claim.  Now I have 30 days to get back to them if I am going to appeal. I need to research my options about all of this. I will definitely be writing to my congress critter about how this has been handled. More later....

Finally spoke to an adjudicator about my unemployment claim. Gave my statement and now we will wait and see what they decide. Even though I was laid off at the other job, this turns out to be an all or nothing deal. If they deny my claim I it will apply to both jobs.

Just because something seems useless it's okay to cut it out - NOT!

In other news I'm heading out to the beach this weekend to get away from all of this job hunting, WIA, unemployment, school investigative crap. I need a holiday.
