In other news, the fashion show that I was going to send stuff down to sell has been canceled. Just as well, the days I had set aside to craft for this event had been used to help a friend through an emotional crisis. My friend will be ok, but these always wipe me out for a few days afterwards. Yawn....
Now I can focus on other projects. I have a meeting next week with a person that wants to wholesale some of my leather pouches. I have to write up some descriptions for upcoming classes that I will be teaching on making earrings and anklets out of seed beads. More on that later....
I've had 2 sets of prospective buyers come through the apt and so far nothing. The Realtor tells me that the buyers all note how this apt is not up to it's rent potential. It's a B grade apt. There is water damage on my ceiling, the walls are not insulated, other tenants in the area party after hours and are loud, I'm sure that there are drugs going on. I figure I'll stick around and see what happens, obviously when the place sells the rent will go up. The question is how much. I may be moving in the future.
Ramblings from the brain ball......
All of this gets me to thinking about sustainability and foundations. Every time something sells prices go up, but at what point in time does it become unsustainable? Apply that to the state of affairs here and to me it seems that we are on a path of destruction. What ever happened to the idea of living sustainably without the objective of making money? I don't think societies focus has always been about making money, so what and where did we change?
