Day Two of Week Three
Today was good. I didn't sleep all that great last night but it was better than the night before. We practiced and practiced our care plans which are beginning to be somewhat fun except when I have no idea what to say...which is often and very frustrating. We also got to listen to a mannequin that you plug into a computer and he produces different breath and heart sounds. It was pretty cool, I hope we get to do it again. Heart sounds and breath sounds are REALLY interesting to me. After I'm done here I'm going to search for audio clips of the different types of sounds so I can better identify them...well I'll either do it tonight or tomorrow cuz I'm pretty tired! We also learned how to don sterile gloves today. I enjoyed that too but I think it was mainly because it conjures up thoughts of wound dressings in my head which is primarily what I'm intereted in. Other than that we just practiced stuff we have already learned. I'd like to say I feel more confident but I really don't. I can't allow myself to feel confident until I get to the facilities and really know I can do it. But I am trying to not stress out too much. Haha, just had to take a break from writing because I got a call from another nursing student asking if I had finished my care plans because he is almost freaking out about his. Heh, so it's really not just me. Well my eyes are barely staying open so it's off to lisetn to sounds now.
