On to Season 3...I Can't Seem to Stop Myself

Aug 01, 2015 03:03

I told myself I was going to take a short break after season two, but SPN is like crack...and I'm addicted. I watched the first three episodes tonight and loved, LOVED, LOVED them. These guys just get better and better.

The appearance of Ruby in The Magnificent Seven is epic <3 I also love how the hunters take out each of the vices.

I'm curious to learn how Ruby has a knife that can kill demons.

Sam trying to help Dean get rid of the deal and Dean not budging, that talk between them was quite heartwrenching.

Oh, absolutely. The boys will do anything to save each other...ANYTHING.

Yeah, Ben and Dean were so much alike that I was actually a bit disappointed that they weren't father and son. I don't know how Lisa could have had a paternity test done since Ben's father was supposedly a one-night stand and Dean was long gone by the time Ben was born. What could Lisa have provided scientists/doctors that had either man's DNA to test?

The minute I saw the rabbit foot I thought of you and your icon. LOL I have a question for you. Do you know whose body that is stretched out on the Impala in my icon? It's made from a larger picture, but even in the larger size I can't tell if it's Dean or Sam. I'm guessing Sam because it looks more like his long, lanky body.

All we know is that it's "an ancient demon knife of the Kurds." How,Ruby came to have it is another story for another time, as they say;)

I and many others believe that Ben is Dean's son. And Lisa is lying.

That's Dean... or Jensen. But it could be a manip.

OK, thanks.

Ahh, so maybe Ben IS Dean's son. I don't suppose we eve find out.

Here's the picture my icon is made from. I think you may be right about it being a manip, but who is it?

Yeah, I really like Katie Cassidy as a Ruby here. And yeah, Ruby is *good* in that no demon is good but helping the Winchesters benefits her in the end, so yeah.

OMG, little kids can be so creepy sometimes! I really liked Ben a lot and he and Dean had great timing together. OMG, I watched Resurrection! I enjoyed it a lot, but I also felt good about where they ended it. I"ll have to look for Rachel the next time I watch this spn episode!

Black Rock is one of my favorites. It's right up there comedy wise with Mystery Spot and Tall Tales. Bela will be back too! She's a great character, though sometimes I think they didn't know what to do with her.

Like you, I thought Resurrection ended in the right place. Maybe it was never intended to be more than one season, but I think it was a wise decision to not do a second season. I liked the boy who played Jacob and I hope he'll be in other TV shows soon.

Have you seen The Returned? It's based on the same French film as Resurrection, Les Revenants, premise HERE. The Returned is MUCH better than Resurrection, IMO.

The humorous episodes are a nice touch. I'm glad Bela will be back because I love Lauren Cohan.

SPN is like crack...and I'm addicted.

Yay! :D

Magnificent Seven - I like when Pride calls Sam "the boy king". And Ruby's entrance is epic. I love Katie Cassidy, too.

The Kids are Alright - The end scene with Ruby is really good. Poor Sam finding out that all his mothers friends were killed by the yellow-eyed demon. And now he knows that Ruby is a demon.

Bad Day at Black Rock - This ep is so funny! Love it!

I'm glad you liked them all. TBH, I'm not a fan of the first two eps (except for a couple of scenes), but I love the third one.

I didn't care for The Magnificent Seven in its entirety either, but it had its moments. Tonight I watched two more and Sin City wasn't a favorite. More about that when I do my next SPN post.

THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN: Another ep that delves into religion, but a much more successful one. This is such a fun premise and a great kick off to the season. I liked ruby at first, but.... meh. Not a of her, either version.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT: My favorite part about this ep was Ben, watching him be a mini-Dean was great.

BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK: This episode cracks me up. It's so great. I can't stand Bella, can not stand her. I was shocked when she showed up on TWD with that southern accent. I much prefer her as Maggie.

Odd that you don't like Ruby, but to each his own, I guess. Maybe I like her because I like Katie Cassidy.

Oh yes, Ben as mini-Dean was really cute. I liked the little girl who was drowned, too. A good actress and very creepy.

Bad Day was great fun, I agree. I had no idea Lauren Cohan was English until I saw her on a late night talk show after I'd been watching TWD for a couple of years. I don't mind Bela. I like how she's always trying to stay one jump ahead of the boys. Their exchanges are amusing.

I don't know, Ruby just sort of annoys me. Keep in mind.... I've seen it all, so I know everything about her. ;)

What shocked me was her American accent. It still feels weird hearing it. I don't like how Bella is always trying to make their lives more difficult. It always felt a bit unnecessary.

OK, I will.

True, I guess, but I rather enjoyed how she always seemed to be one step ahead of the boys all the time. But she's gone now so R.I.P.
