supernutjapan said to watch the first episode of Supernatural season two, In My Time of Dying, immediately after the end of season one, so I did. To say it was gut wrenching is putting it mildly. So many unexpected twists and so much love and concern among the Winchesters. A couple of things made me laugh so it wasn't a totally sad episode. I don't know how he does it, but I have heard than John comes back in a later season. His final scene with Dean was so poignant and Sam's distress the entire episode was palpable. It was hard to watch at times.
In the special features for season one, Jared talked about how much makeup they had to wear because it was being done on film. From season two on, they filmed digitally and I agree with him that everyone looked MUCH more natural. I'm glad they switched.
Now, do I watch episode two or get ready for bed? Hard decision. *sigh* Oh! I think instead I'll watch this episode again with Jared, Jensen and Eric's commentary.
